Danish websites under hackers attacks

Almost 1,000 Danish websites have been defaced by Islamic hackers protesting about controversial cartoons mocking the Prophet Muhammad. The attacks typically replace home pages with pro-Islam messages and condemn the publication of the images. Hack attack monitoring group Zone-H said the defacements were done both by hacker groups and individuals.

“We have never seen so many defacements that are politically targeted in such a short time,” said Roberto Preatoni, founder and administrator of Zone-H. Mr Preatoni said monitoring of hacker chat channels revealed that hackers and groups in different Islamic nations had banded together to make the protests more effective. Attacks were known to have come from groups in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Indonesia.

Most of the sites targeted were run by small organisations and companies that do not have dedicated security workers and cannot keep up with the latest alerts and patches for vulnerabilities. More info available at Zone-H. So if you live in Denmark and got some own server, its time to patch it pretty fast…

Damn i hate these stupid muslims thinking that Denmark as a country posted those meaningless drawings. It was Jyllands Posten. I think they should think about what the fuck they are doing before they start messing with unions like EU and NATO. They will get messed up in a war.

yeah i agree with you, these people are extremely sensitive to any kind of religious defamation or ridiculus. there is also some speech liberty in democratic countries, and its pretty common to see caricatures of everyone in newspapers. I’m with you if you are from Danmark…

I’m a pretty interested history student in America and currently enrolled in a course on medieval history at the local university. Honestly extremist muslims clerics remind me so much of cardinals of Catholicism after the Roman empire fell. Really its like switching the roles of society under influence by each religion.

The Islamic world, in ancient times, stored the mass quantities of information gathered by the west right before Rome fell and Europe was thrown in to chaos. But after World War 1 ended and Europe started to conquer the lands left vacant from the fall of the Ottoman empire, the middle east fell into chaos. Right now, in my opinion, we’re seeing the attack on christdom just like how christdom attacked islam during the Crusades.

Nope, MArtin, it’s not a free speech. free speech does not give you right to offend someone’s religion, which those caricatures did. That’s all.
And when some Iran newspaper wanted to organise contest for a caricature of Holocaust, the West spoke it’s wrong and shit. Why then it’s wrong and those caricatures of thier God and believes are not?

it never fails to surprise me how people get so offended about their religions as if they are the chosen supreme ones and no i dont mean just muslims but christians too. its their own doubts which often cause the hostility or defensiveness because if they knew for a fact that there was a god then surely they wouldnt need to worry about things like this. im sure many of you will disagree with me completely but its my view and its more logical than what the majority or religious people believe .

Yeah, They’re clearly overreacting about this caricatures thing. Apparently there are new demonstrations in Beirut, where people keeps shouting “The land of the Prophet will not accept insults”. Well, a country certainly doesn’t accept you burning 2 of it’s consulates, morons. And while they had they had their torches lit, they obviously decided to take Norway doooown too.

The Muhammed-lover will have his punishment.. A punishment overdue..

i think the muslims are just trying to get back at the western countries to show themselves, the drawings are just an excuse for doing that.

One of the cathalysts conserning this matter is that some of these lands where Muslims are the majority is Police States. The State is top dog and controls even the opinion of ppl because of their VERY strict sencurship towards the media. SO, when a country with “freedom to speech”(which they by FAR doesn’t have) prints a newspaper with an opinio/drawing/statement that is offending to them, they automatically assume that it is the whole countries opinion about that subject. Because it would have been the case in their country due to their strict censurship and police state situation. I’ve even heard that ppl from the country side in Syria(I think it was) are beeing brought into the cities to demonstrate, even though they can’t read, they just know that Denmark/Norway have insulted their most important Prophet. So because of that the situation escelated dramatically.

SkeviN: You obviously don’t know a lot about the situation. Denmark has “freedom of speech”, we can write anything in the newspapers, show anything on tv. No laws against that. And also, it’s not just Denmark that have shown the drawings in the papers. Norway, France, Holland, Spain and a few other countries has also printed them, but they got no negative response. But you are right about the point, that it’s the governments that are doing this, not the people of those countries. And by the way, we haven’t insulted their Prophet, it’s drawings, get a grip. Have you even seen the drawings???

i think there have some drawings (that the danish papers didn`t publish )was put between there drawings to imply that the danish papers have publish them ..those pictures were so offending to muslims …

another thing those idiots at palestine ( they are real terrorists and they used the situation to have convince other muslims that the are humilated in the world and that they should bycoot danish american products + to do some violence actions and explosions)untill muslims are respected the way the jewish react to antisemesm situation..

    palestine are shit shit

    February 9th, 2006 | 22:42

Whutever: No, I haven’t seen the drawings. BUT, the thing is, in Norway it was a religious paper that published the drawing, and they should know that Islam does not allow drawing of their prophets, but they did it anyway. And yes, I do actually know that we can print what ever we want and send what ever we want on TV, with that said, racist opinions is not, so why should Religious offending elements be?. And IMO, something so offending as spotting their greatest prophet like that when they very well know it is said in the Coran that it should not be tolerated, it is almost an abuse of the “freedom to speach” consept. I live in Norway, I see the news, and I do actually know a little somthing about this matter. So when u tell me to get a grir, I tell u to get some facts… Read abit about the Islam religion, u might change ur opinion abit.

Now, i’m not defending what they are doing, in any way, i’m just trying to give u some of the facts the news might no.

If there is freedom of speech in Europe and America why press is not allowed to publish anything about Palestine and the Holocaust!?!?

Well, the drawings were not supposed to be in the news papers from the start !!
yes, maby they are over reacting about it,but as SkeviN said, know the facts about the religon then start talking, why make fun of the prophet or draw him ! saying that islam is a religon of terrorists !? fuck that,,there is some extrem muslims that are wacked up the head and think they should blow and kill others,,but thats not islam !

And about palestine, why the hell are the terrorists ??
cause they are defending their country ?

    SkeviN:
you should know that they have drawn pics of that muhammed boy all the way back to the middle ages and some of it they call art. dont come here trying to be a wiseass. get your own facts straight first.. Its simply when the western does it its allmighty wrong.
besides, take a look at the drawings and youll come to realize that they are harmless.

    emma:
I agree totaly! “its their own doubts which often cause the hostility or defensiveness because if they knew for a fact that there was a god then surely they wouldnt need to worry about things like this.” couldnt have said it better.

this is just another lame excuse to pic a fight and rally thier own muslim ppl.
